Sunday Morning Baby Pic – Phoebe is 9 Months!

A year and a half ago I learned that I was pregnant. If I knew then what I know now I would have been much happier, but at that point Steve and I were struggling financially and just about ready to graduate Ella out of her mortgage payment preschool into Public Kindergarten. We thought we were out of the “hard years” and that soon we would really have everything under control.

I told Steve I was pregnant over text. “Um… I’m Pregnant”. To say he was a little shaken up would not be an exaggeration. We were pretty scared the first few days about how we would handle adding another baby to the mix, but then we settled into it and decided that we could do it. We would make it work.

8 months later Phoebe arrived.

As I am sitting here thinking what this little baby has done for us, or more so done for me, I am a bit lost for words. She goes out of her way to catch anyone’s eye to make them smile. We will be strolling down the street and suddenly she’ll be having a back and forth giggle fest with a complete stranger. It seems like her mission in life is to make other people happy.

My heart just swells with love for this little person and somehow with the added expenses, the added work and the lack of sleep it is all working out.

Phoebe is 9 months today. She is almost crawling, loves her sisters more than anything, pets cats gently, doesn’t really like solid foods, and hasn’t mastered the art of sleeping through the night. She still has her gummy smile and gives big open mouth kisses.

Thank you Phoebe for finding me. I am so happy I get to be your Mamma.

  1. Omg Jen I swear the more I read your blog and posts the more I fall in love with you and your family. I wish I lived closer! I really do know how you feel with adding phoebe to your life. Arabella completely changed ours as well and in very similar circumstances. Keep posting amazing stories!!!

  2. I have absolutely no doubt she picked you. Only good things will come. Get in comm with her about that sleeping through the night thing. Maybe she could use an assist of some sort.

    • The thing is I kind of like our midnight time together… Probably why she doesn’t sleep through the night!

    • Thank you Karen! Just checked out your blog. (at least your recent post) So nice to connect with you!
