Here Comes Summer

I cannot believe how fast this year is going. Very soon Phoebe will be one!

Life seems to go by so fast but in other ways so slow at the same time.

Something I have tried to do for many years is not wait until “the right time” to do things. I have not always succeeded in this endeavor, but I have certainly been most happy when I live my life now as opposed to waiting for some point in the future when I will have more money, more time, less stress or some magic potion that will make my life perfect.

Steve’s trip out of town has extended longer than we originally thought. This has been challenging, but he has been working hard and producing the income we need to do some very vital things around this apartment of ours.

I spent all day today moving furniture and filling nail holes with putty in order to prep the walls for painting tomorrow.

Next week we are installing a new floor.

These are all things that I usually would never attempt without him, but with the help of friends and family we are pulling it all off.

I am hopeful that he will be back soon. (I really need him back soon if only for the reason he makes me go to bed at a reasonable hour and I am so very tired from my late nights!)

Summer is approaching so fast and we have a lot to look forward to. Ella finishing Kindergarten, Phoebe and Chloe’s Birthdays, our 13th wedding anniversary, a trip to Yosemite, and then HAWAII. So much stuff is happening and it is all awesome.

I just really want my husband back._MG_7631[1]
