This past Sunday I did two things a bit out of the norm.
I took the girls (all three of them) to a fancy restaurant and then we went and watched sumo wrestling.
I am not joking.
Delish. Expensive, but amazing on Fillmore.
This girl has been eating out at fancy restaurants since she was born. She loves it.
Our server was extra nice and took the girls back to the kitchen. (It helps that she lives in my building, I don’t think she will do that with your kids too, but go ahead and ask her. She may if your kids don’t do weird things like spit or bite.)
Watching squid ink chips being made.
Squid ink chips
Beet Lasagna
Buck did really well.
WARNING WARNING WARNING!!!! IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE NEARLY NAKED HUGE MEN DO NOT GO ANY FURTHER DOWN IN THIS POST.
This was so amazing. The drumming just blew me away.
Just super. It brings back happy memories of when two of my sons and I saw the Sumo championships in Tokyo years ago. I love the honor and tradition of the wrestlers making it an art as well as a contest. Oh, the food is great too. Good on you for finding so many international flavors right in your urban backyard!!!
I love both.

One of these fighters was a sumo champion many times over! Erin actually told me about it. It was fun to go, but the girls were kinda in shock!!
Looks fun! Did you eat the squid ink chips? Also, those photos are good! What kind of camera do you use?
The girls did! I can’t remember if I did. I was using my D40 then.
