Makeover Your Makeup – Skincare Routines

This is the second in a series of posts with makeup artist Shawn Burke. I asked her what would be some of her top tips or products.

She said:

I am  a huge skin care fanatic because if you have gorgeous well cared for skin your makeup routine becomes secondary.”

She went on to say how important it is to have very hydrated skin and as well to wear sunscreen “everyday, rain or shine, before you walk out into the world!”

I made a little video to let you know what I have been doing to implement Shawn’s advice. The video is a bit “homemade”, but I think that’s best. Real women, real moms, real people, and how they do things with real budgets and time constraints.

I hope you like it. Down below you will find links to all the products I use and as well the products Shawn swears by.

  1. Indeed, a beautiful skin if first a very well hydrated and clean. In my early teens I started to hydrate my skin several times a day and cleanse it at night even if I’m not wearing make up. Result, I’m 50 years old and I look 40 !! I love sun however and never ever wear sunscreen, got lots of sun in India, Australia, the middle east, and I’m lucky to have no damage…
