Homemade Valentine Love

I am a firm believer that if you are not crafting with your children daily you are a bad parent.

I also believe that you should always feed your kids free-range, grass-fed, organic, paleo candy.

The Holidays are for celebration and should be fully embraced with hours spent cutting and gluing and taking beautiful pictures to exclaim for all to see how wonderful and easy it all is.

This Valentine’s Day we did this amazing project I wanted to share with you all.

Here are the exact steps.

1. Tell your older child that if they want homemade valentines they would need to do them.

2. If they ask for any supplies tell them to find them.

3. Buy 39 cent boxes of organic free-range candy. (22 of em)

4. Let your six year old decide whether or not names will even be written on them.

5. Try to remember them Friday morning.

There you go! 5 easy steps to prep you for Friday.

You’re Welcome!

  1. I hate to brag that I one-upped you. But here’s my story: The morning of the class party (in our case TODAY), re-read the note from the teacher and freak out because kids are not making Valentines in class they are passing them out. Remember a box of Mad Libs valentines you bought last year. Cut a few extra rectangles of pink paper (we have no boy-approved RED) and stick ‘em in a bag in case high strung son makes any errors writing names. Hope for the best.

  2. You just made my day. I actually went to the craft store to get stuff so my daughter could make them and they were out of any valentine’s stickers. Not a single heart anything..The lady looked at me and said “most people bought them weeks ago.” translation: You are a sucky mom. So, I am grateful for your post, because this is perfect and my mom-ego is a little less bruised!
    PS Happy Valentine’s day <3

    • I am so glad that this helped. We are dealing with so much stuff and the fact that you even made it to the store is to be applauded!
