Napa Day 2

I’ve lost my blogging rhythm and it has been harder to get to posts these days. The one (the ONLY) upside with Steve having been gone was it gave me lots of time to blog because I would stay up so darn late while on my own. I need to figure out how to keep the blogging pace up because I enjoy it so very much and it has been a real pleasure connecting with you here and using it as a vehicle to connect to my city and community.

Well anyway, here are more shots from last weekend. It was Easter and they woke up to small baskets and ran around the property popping confetti eggs.

On the way home we stopped at The Fremont Diner. Holy Mother of Joseph, that place is FANTASTIC. It is a MUST visit. We sat outside at a shaded picnic table while chicken roamed around and I had the best fried catfish of my life. It is Southern cooking done right using ingredients from their own farm or nearby resources. We ate so much food I felt like my stomach was going to burst. It was delightful.

My in-laws are tearing down and rebuilding. This was the last big weekend before the bulldozers come.

Those were Ella's boots. I bought them when she was just about 2 in Utah while taking care of my mom during her first round of chemo. I had given them away to a friend for her daughter. I am so glad they found their way back to me so Phoebe could wear them.

Well there you have it! Our little trip to Napa that I stretched into THREE blog posts.

Let’s have a productive week my friends!

xoxo
