Napa Without Kids

Domaine Carneros

This is the next post of a small series from when our friends came to visit us two weeks ago.

Everyone arrived Thursday. I worked during the day on Friday while they toured the city with Steve. We had Chloe’s birthday party in the late afternoon and I cooked that night. You can see some of the party pictures here.

Saturday we ditched the kids and went to Napa. I’ve done Napa with kids and it’s ok, but Napa without children is really needed every once in a while. Steve and I are not experts on the area or what wineries to go to, so we did two wineries that are pretty much obvious choices for first timers.

I have so many photos, so I will just share from the first half of the day and our visit to Domaine Carneros where they make sparkling wine and pinot noir.

After Domaine Carneros we went and had lunch at Redd. I had intended to go to Reddwood, same owners but a different restaurant. It turned out ok, but if you go to Yountville go to Reddwood instead.

Doesn’t that BLT look amazing?

More pictures of the rest of our day will be coming soon.

Thanks so much for following along.
