Tuesday’s Tube

You-Tube-vlogger

This week I want to share some projects that are in various stages of development, but I am excited about each of them for different reasons.

The first is a video series I am launching with Aaron Kyro of Braille Skateboarding. A little while ago I asked Aaron if he would teach me how to skateboard. His schedule is completely packed but he’s managed to fit in a little time for me and we are making a video series called “Can You Teach A Mom To Skate.”

This is going to give me an opportunity to:

1. Get in shape. I hate working out, but when I am working to learn a new sport I get really inspired and start exercising more.

2. Fall. The first time I rode I fell. Who doesn’t love a good fall? I have bruises and everything.

3.  Show all those teenagers who follow the Braille Skateboarding YouTube Channel what a mom can do.

This is a little teaser video I shot for my own channel. The one for Braille Skate will be up in a few days.

I don’t know if you actually want to watch the next video. It is 45 minutes long and a little painful at times. I only made it to about 15 minutes in before I had to go do something else.  With that all said, I think you need to keep this potential project on the radar. These 4 dad bloggers got together last Sunday. They were supposed to do an improv show but ended up just doing a Google Hangout chat about random stuff and current events.

I can’t explain why I like it. It’s like dad reality TV with a twist that these 4 guys are actually intelligent even when they are goofy. I hope they develop it into something.

Let me know if you make it to the end. It could even become your Sunday replacement for Game of Thrones. They talk about freezing in the woods.

Have you heard of this new film coming out, I AM ELEVEN? Chloe is 10 now and navigating these next few years is going to be an adventure for sure. The film explores humanity across the globe through the age of 11 which is often the bridge between innocence and what comes next.

What good videos have you seen this week? Feel free to share them over on Our Urban Playground’s Facebook Page!
