This week we hired an electrician to instal proper wiring and a light switch in order to mount the new lighting fixture in Phoebe’s room. The earlier set up had the light coming out of the side of the left wall.
I am so happy how it turned out. Given how the electrical wires were laid out and our existing budget we didn’t want to break into the plaster walls. He managed to still figure out a way to do a proper ceiling mount with a switch on the wall.
So this 9th week of 2014 is dedicated to this switch which likely seems insignificant, but actually it is the first time I have personally hired an electrician and paid it myself, so that’s something! I guess I am an adult now.
I am tackling my relationship with this apartment one week at a time.
