Here are the shots from our Chicago trip!
We went to celebrate my parent’s 10 year anniversary and vow renewal. I got to spend a full 6 days with my family, my brothers, my sister-in-law and many dear friends. It was great and led to a very emotional out pouring of sappy love for life, so I guess it was worth the flight.
Our first morning
My brother is 6’4″
The Bean!
On our way to the Art Institute Chloe took this picture of Phoebe and I
Taking Chloe to the Art Institute and watching her look at every painting in awe is something I hope to remember for a long time.
Old Lady, pink hat, famous painting, 9 year old.
Phoebe did pretty well at the museum. No paintings were pulled off the walls.
Navy Pier Swings
The large ferris wheel at Navy Pier was where Steve and I had our first date 16 years ago.
Train rides
Dinner out with Dad and Joy
Mamma Joy Joy
Steve watched the girls so I could go out to dinner. At 10 they were still awake so if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em and take them for sundaes!
Phoebe has a track record for stealing ice cream.
Hotel Pools

I always love it when the tulips pop up
more trains
At Lincoln Park Zoo
The ceremony and dinner afterwards were at Blackbird. It was amazing and my brother was the minister!
I had never been on the architectural boat tour. So fun.
Da Wahterr! Da Boat!
Memorial Day in Evanston with family
Our final day was the hottest. We spent some time at Oak Street Beach before heading to the airport.
