Skateboarding

Oh hey. If you are clicking on this you are likely checking out my blog because of my videos on Braille Skateboarding, or you are wondering why a mom blog would have a page about skateboarding. Either way, I am glad you are here.

I am a 35 year old mother of three girls and somehow thought it would be a good idea to try to learn how to skateboard. I started because I felt I had hit a rut physically and wanted to learn something to challenge both my body and mind. I didn’t fully know what I was in for and I’m a little over my head, but it’s too late to stop now.

My adventures in skateboarding have been written about by the Huffington Post and you can read some of my own articles about it here and here.

My first video with Braille Skateboarding has 70,000 views.

I’ve learned how to talk like a skateboarder.

I’ve also learned to fall.

Some of the best times have been practicing with my daughters.

If you would like to follow my skateboarding journey, please subscribe to my YouTube Channel and follow along on Facebook.

P.S. I would like to thank Aaron Kyro and his production team for the opportunity to skate and appear on his channel. He took a bit of a risk inviting a mom/female to skate on his channel and it’s really appreciated. We shall see if I can ever ollie this high someday.
