She had an assignment to choose and learn about and build a habitat. She chose the ocean. We watched Finding Nemo to prepare.

Only watching a movie of course won’t do! A great mom from Ella’s school brought her to the beach with her family for some more learning about the ocean!

We made sea creatures out of homemade play dough- super easy once you do it. (1 cup four, 1/4 cup salt. Mix it together and add 1/4 cup water)

We chose (I chose) to paint the animals rather than use food dye. The finished project got whisked off to school before I could get a shot of it!

Ella on Bike to School Day. She biked about 2 miles! “I did it without breaks! It was easy because I had water!”

She is the best big sister and can make Phoebe laugh more than anyone. The only complaint is Phoebe will pull her hair constantly!
3 miles (Not 2) — No complaints even with the tiny bike that makes her legs go 5 times as many times around as everyone else. (It was fun ride to start to understand her determined personality.)
Wow!! 3 miles!! Amazing! Thanks so much for taking them Randy! It really meant a lot to me!
Just remembered the first time I met her last summer (at the hulu hoop-a-thon at the library) She was equally driven trying to make a kite fly.
